Coaching Described
Coaching is an ongoing professional
relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their
careers, organizations and their lives. The Client (individual or
organization) sets the agenda for coaching. Coaching supports the
client in getting clear about objectives, creating a plan of action to
achieve the objectives, and supporting the client to implement the
changes.
A basic assumption of coaching is that the client is creative, resourceful and whole -- a capable partner in the coaching relationship. Coaching is forward-oriented. There is no therapy involved in coaching. Coaching clients sometimes work concurrently with a therapist for matters outside of the coaching relationship.
Individual clients typically hire Susan to become more effective leaders, build their businesses, remove barriers to success, increase income, examine career transitions, resolve work conflicts and enhance work/life balance. The confidentiality of coaching discussions creates a comfortable space for clients to explore ideas and approaches in a supportive environment.
Through the process of coaching, clients improve their
performance, get where they want to go more efficiently, and enhance
the quality of their lives.
