Work/Life Balance
A sense of balance is achieved when one
allocates time and other resources in a manner consistent with one's
values and priorities. When our actions and outcomes are consistent
with our goals, we feel in balance.
Balance is not the same for
everyone. Some people thrive on sixty-hour workweeks; some people
struggle with a part-time job.
A balanced life is not a matter of time.
The amount of time we have is fixed -- we all have twenty-four hours in
a day. Our challenge is to use the time in a way that satisfies our
goals for a fulfilling life: career, intellectual growth, spiritual
development, play/recreation, family, friends, health/fitness and
self-care.
I offer individual coaching to help you create your personal foundation for work/life balance. I also offer Work/Life Balance seminars and
retreats for participants to create their foundation for a life in
balance. Participants will become clear about what they value, learn
how to make choices consistent with their values, create action plans
on their vision for life, and create accountability to follow-through
on their plans. The seminar or retreat will work well for team building or in the context of an employee wellness program.
